Chill chap, I have not been to spain for twenty years, if their hotels were anything to go by then, they could not build a rumour let alone an F1 carbiggrin

They have been extremely pathetic. Talk about bad losers! In todays papers they've used photographs of LH and RD with silly expressions/closed eyes in an attempt to make them look silly (obviously taken while they blinked, coughed, sneezed etc). Maybe if McClaren didn't have to content with FA's BS, extra stewards etc they may have won.

So would I, given that Seat are owned by VAG.

Lots of bad losers in this thread.
Xenophobes too.
Presumably unable to contribute to the shaving thread over in General Gassing.

I think that most of the Spanish press has been misinterpreted. I have read the Spanish reports and I haven't read anything nearly as bad as has been reported.

The Spanish press (at least the well written broadsheet equivalents) has been speculating about FA's difficult position, and in my eyes they have been pretty objective. I haven't read anything which is the equivalent of the Sun, but I suspect their tabloids are as balanced as ours.

In actual fact, the Spanish press has been more damning of Ferrari and has given some pretty bad quotes from Luca DM.

>>The truth is Hamilton's first season has made him a victim of envy. His success has been hard to stomach, particularly for Alonso, who continued to trot out tired excuses to account for failure. Doubtless there will be more when his exit is negotiated over the next fortnight. Those at McLaren who retain hope of reconciliation might want to skip the next paragraph.

"McLaren lost the championship because of some of the decisions that they made in the second half of the season," Alonso said. "It's no secret that they didn't do anything to help me. They didn't do anything for me."<<

Never looked at the shaving threads. Worth a look, are they?

Don't think there are any bad losers here particularly, possibly more to do with the way the Spanish press have dealt with things? And i think you'd be particularly blinkered to have the view that Alonso was losing gracefully?

Alonso is a moaning Spantard.

Lewis is a bit smooth for his own good.

I am pleased that Raikkonen won. At least he would have done the decent thing and been up to his nuts in guts witha bottle of vodka on board afterwards.

Sir Stirling Moss amused me when he was interviwed on Chris Evans Radio 2 show and was asked about Alonso's behaviour: "Well, he's not English is he - he's Spanish..."
