Alonso to where? - The definitive post.
Discussion
Are Red Bull using Ferrari engines next year? If so I can't see Ferrari being happy with supplying engines to Alonso as with the money and talent that could attract to the team you might see them beating the Ferraris!
Toyota, as I said elsewhere, what are they getting from F1? I don't think they have the commitment to it or really get a sales benefit from running their own F1 team. Unless someone there can swing a heap more money to get Alonso in and have a serious crack at it, I think they'll be leaving F1 soon, as I definitely can't see them getting any sales benefit from trundling around at the back. And Toyota does exist for sales of cars first and foremost.
Contrast that with BMW - their brand can only gain from F1 success, they're best of the rest by quite a margin in terms of constuctor points and on the up. They'll have no problems attracting sponsorship, and either Kubica or Heidfeld would make a decent team mate.
Agree that Renault is a possibility but I question their commitment to the sport too. They've got 2 championships, which sort of proves their point and ties up their unfinished business from the 70s/80s when they never managed that. Do they sell a lot more Renault Clios by running their own team compared to supplying engines to Williams or someone?

I reckon if someone wants to know when Ron is going to 'wake up' and start using team orders the answer is probably that it's about as likely as Ferrari using a car that isn't some shade of red
Oh dear...Not photoshopped.

That's it! Spoil my joke why don't you? Surtees @ Watkins Glen 1964 in a NART (North American Racing Team) Ferrari 158. Bandini won the race in the no.8 car (his teammate).

Curiously, a Ferrari officially entered by NART sealed the win of the 1964 F1 World championship with John Surtees, as the factory team competed the last two races in cars painted white and blue. This was done as a protest concerning arguments between Ferrari and the Italian Racing Authorities regarding the homologation of a new mid-engined Ferrari race car.
So technically it wasn't a factory Ferrari.Teppic said:

So technically it wasn't a factory Ferrari.Needless to say I still think it's pretty unlikely that McLaren would change the way they handle team orders even if Alonso stays.
