What series can i race my mini in?
Discussion
I have a race prepped 1989 mini running a 1380 on a webber.
I really want to race but want to run the mini as it is now(engine mods) without changing the spec of the car(other than safety requirements).
I cant seem to find a race series as the mini seems to be too new or the engine too big and modified.
I dont mind running against bigger cars or in mixed classes but really want circuit racing rather than sprining etc
Please can anyone help?

I see from your profile you're in Cheshire. You could race in the BARC NW Sports/Saloon championship - see:

An excellent championship, with plenty of good, clean, close racing - & quite a few Minis this year!

very competative formulas from what I am told.
well face it there have been 40, or is it even 50 years now, of the original mini, for those that know how, to hone these cars to perfection.
so if its mini on mini action you are after i think it needs to be pretty hot to challenge.
I was racing in the birkett relay yesterday against a few sprites etc ( A series engines), and though shite through the corners, my g o d do they move in a strait line!!!!
