That link seems to say that most of the spying information ended up at Renault, and yet McLaren were delt with first. Now if thats true then it opens a whole new book on the FerrarIA conspiracy...http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_2869059,00.html

"During the first round of Stepneygate hearings earlier this year, during which it was McLaren's authorised possession of Ferrari secrets that was being probed, Renault's name came up in McLaren's own investigation"
To me, that sounds as though the Renault spying* was only uncovered during the investigation into the McLaren spying - the McLaren spying came up first, so was dealt with first.
Not sure where you're getting "most of the spying information ended up at Renault" either?
* I'm using the word 'spying', because it's handy - let's not start a fight about whether or not it's exactly the right word to use.
As far as I'm aware a McLaren designer left for Renault and it's known that he took a few CDs full of information. Nothing to do with Ferrari at all.
This could be a master stroke by Dennis against Alonso and Briatore. Dennis lets Alonso go, knowing he'll sign for Renault. Dennis then properly unleashes his allegations against Renault, potentially knackering Alonso's seat for 2008.
Probably not too close to the truth, but it makes a good story!

From the beeb :
"the layout and critical dimensions of the McLaren F1 car"
So all they did was look at the Macca, and say its "xx feet long, xx feet wide, has four wheels, the engines somewhere in the back, and its got some wings".
Surely the major dimensions of F1 cars are pretty much tied down in the concorde agreement?

I meant in terms of being a team who designed the fuel cell. Maybe Mclaren should be WCC for the last 40 years, because they were using this kind of fuel cell back in the late 60's. It should really be Goodyear given the WCC as they produced this kind of fuel cell for racing cars in 1965.
