LEADING geneticists last night claimed that Lewis Hamilton failed to secure glory in Brazil because he does not possess the key Formula One World Champion gene.
Genetically-speaking, Finland's Kimi Raikonen is permanently drunk
Nobel prize winner James Watson said Hamilton did incredibly well for a black man but stressed that his greatest opponent was not McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso but four billion years of genetic evolution.
Watson added: "The thing is, they're not really supposed to drive. Don't get me wrong, they're very good at running or making rudimentary canoes or farming equipment.
"But genetically-speaking the semi-automatic gearbox is beyond them, at the world championship-winning level at any rate."
Watson stressed that the strongest Formula One genes were to be found in the Finns and the Brazilians.
"Genetically-speaking Michael Schumacher must have had either Finnish or Brazilian lineage, though his German genes express themselves strongly in his insatiable appetite for world domination.
"I am certain that Fernando Alonso possesses some Brazilian genes but ultimately he will be held back, in a genetic sense, by his inherent Spanish laziness and his desire to kill defenceless bulls."
He added: "The Finns ability to drive so well is particularly impressive as, genetically-speaking, they're all such appalling drunkards."
But Watson's claims were rejected by the leading British scientific institutions.
A spokesman for the Royal Society said: "We prefer the far more robust argument that Professor Watson's half-baked genetic theories allow people to be racist at dinner parties."
He added: "No doubt Professor Watson believes I'm genetically predisposed to say that."
Meanwhile Sunday's failure has seen Hamilton go from the dazzling young superstar who transcends race to being simply the latest black man to let Britain down.

James Watson has been saying some very stupid things about race recently, but seeing as this was copied and pasted from a site called The Daily Mash that claims to be a satire site, I'd say it was a pathetic attempt at trolling.

Ignoring the initial post and associated I do have a theory about the genetics of a good driver...
first of all
3d spatial awareness . . .
This is crucial and could explain the lack of too many top flight lady drivers.
Lady drivers are equally skillful and ironically can be more aggressive than male drivers but somehow the top flight misteriously eludes them.
Good eyesight. This is crucial to being a good driver , of course as in any generalisation there are exceptions , Sebastian Bourdais , Jilles Villeneuve , Alain Menu etc but generally I would say that good eyesight is mandatory or at the very least properly corrected.
There are no reasons why drivers of any particular race cannot be good drivers but perhaps the reason that the best athlete races haven't made it to the top of motor racing can be attributed to their highly competative nature.
On a track running etc then absolute determination is paramount however on a track absolute determination can become red mist and a driver is not at his best and most controlled when driving on testosterone which some races have more than others hence differential successes at say fighting sports.
I say these thoughts not to be contravertial or even racial but to try to add an objective view to what could otherwise be a very heated topic.
As a last of course there is the reason of finances.
There could also be the very simple reason of feeling alienated.
How would a young chap feel joining a kart club where everyone else is of a different race. Would he be intimidated against joining.
Or are kart clubs and tracks simply located in specific areas which are difficult to reach for some...

as for proof reading, there are no faults in my post. anything that is cod is ( I understand it) another way of saying false or fake
my point was aimed at those who get offended on behalf of others, IE oh dont call christmas " christmas " It might offend other religeons, meanwhile other religeons couldn't give a toss.
I saw this post as an attempt at ironic racism and I doubt anyone black who read it was particularly outraged, or amused, so why react to it?
