Melbourne GP - which stand?
Discussion
I'm looking to book Melbourne GP tickets shortly. Anyone been and can advise on best viewing positions?
I can get tickets for all 4 days in the Schumacher, Piquet, Fangio and Clark stands (different stand each day) but want to know where's best for watching the actual race. Is a different stand better or will a general admission ticket suffice? It's obviously cheaper (although the tickets are generally pretty good value, the 4-day grandstand ticket is about £175).
Any help much appreciated.

When i went in 2004 during my year backpacking round OZ i stood on the banking at turn 9 if i remember correctly.
Its after the long curve round the lake.
I paid about £40 for the race day and got the free tram from near franklin station (if i remember correctly).
Was a fantastic day, and loved the V8 supercars. Make sure you get onto the pit straight after the race as the atmosphere was amazing!
