Think of all the animals you've ever heard about
like rhinoceroses and tigers, cats and mink
There are lots of funny animals in all this world
But have you ever seen a panther that is pink?

Think!

A panther that is positively pink...

Is that the same type of car that appeared in the Pink Panther cartoon title sequence?
shoutNO!!!!

That's the Stratos Zero by Bertone. The progenitor of the most wonderous car ever to grace the rally stages of the World.

The Zero led on to this, the Stratos prototype.

Which in turn led to this. The iconic Alitalia Grp4 Lancia Stratos. cloud9

The race was red flagged. Engines were dried out in 10 minutes ready for the re-run. He went on to win the re-run and become Hovercraft Formula 1 World Champion. Oh and he's British, which is nice!

I've recently finally managed to extricate myself from 'The Camera can capture some fantastic moments' thread (after almost 2500 posts on it paperbag ). I really don't want to become obsessed with this one. However........
