Didn't F1 Racing mag run an article recently about team that ran out of a lock-up in Romford during the mid 70's?

I think copersucar (probably also incorrect spelling) were just the major sponsor of the fitipaldi team.

It was the other way around. Fittipaldi originally raced the CS, who were a registered constructor. When they retired, tax reasons I think, Fittipaldi took over and became a constructor. As in most racing stories it all becomes very convoluted.

In the mid 70s Ray Jessop and Peter Thorp put together the Token which became the Safir. They did a few F1 races, but it all ended when Ray sadly died. He was a brilliant aerodynamicist who had worked for Brabham, but he carried all the info in his head, so all the secrets went with him.

UOP was a sponsor, not a team. They were most closely associated with Shadow, which, in turn, spawned Arrows - and a famous court case.
