What a Guy - James Hunt - LEGEND
Discussion
Not sure if its been said- I last read up to page Page 3.
James Hunt most recent comparable is Kimi.
Kimi is the max lack of interest you could get by in F1, while still being at it. (If that makes sense).
I belive Kimi is also a James Hunt-fanboy. Hence the name entry into some of the Snow moblie races.

If you were an Ex-F1 great would you like to be known ........
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't give a st - other than to whether I was known to be better than my peers. All any of these guys care about is winning.Yep Kimi comparison is a good one.

For me I liked the fact he had the balls to speak up about the south Africa crap at the time.

Some people are just naturally fit, my old school mate was a genetic freak, held one of the top four times for 1500m for an under 16 in the uk, never 'trained' as such. I was collapsing after 200 meters. Some people just make it look easy.
Yep just like Nigel Mansel, he never trained at all and used to get out of the car after a long race looking as fresh as a daisy.albundy89 said:
Fi drivers now are just a bunch of pansies, can`t remember where but Michael Schumacer tried to hard drive an old jag, skinny tyres the lot and couldn`t believe any one could possibly drive it. discuss and links please.
What link? and the opposite is true, james hunt couldn't drive the cars of today(apart from being dead). Not the young James Hunt of 1975. But a James Hunt of today would physically be able to drive a modern car. Hunt was actually very physiocally fit in his youth and no doubt would have no trouble doing what he needed to do to be fit enough to drive a modern car.
I think what would have prevented Hunt from being successful in the modern wotrld of F1 would be his atitude.

I think he'd need to do a little more, particularly the neck, but yes something he would be capable of. Fangio though...I think what would have prevented Hunt from being successful in the modern wotrld of F1 would be his atitude.

I think he'd have problems staying "on message" and playing the corporate game the way most drivers have to today.

A woman with his horizontal background would be seen as a bit of a slag. Why not him?
Borrowed from the Facebook fails thread:As for Hunt being competitive in modern F1, I think his closest modern equivalent in terms of attitude and professionalism would be Kimi? EDIT: Oops, it's been done already.
