Given the average life span of helicopter-borne motor-racing stars, how long do you give him?

Given his driving style, I reckon 30 seconds after he takes the controls...
Well, Doctor Palmer seems to be doing just fine.

If I was married to Mrs Plato I would want to get home as quickly as possible too - she is rather lovely!
Agreed! And cool too, i met them back in 2007 when they sat behind me in at the boathouse in Central Park, NY, they were staying close to where i live so they heard i was English and were asking for restaurant recommendations, which i was happy to oblige, i don't think he expected me to know who he was, so he seemed quite surprised when i asked who he was racing for at the time. I hoped he wanted to trade, mine for his, but the subject never came up........ frown

Why do so many companies put "Solutions" at the end of their name these days?

Given the speed Mr Plato passed me on the M40 earlier in the year, in his rather nice 997 turbo, I'm thinking that Plod have removed his right to drive.

As such, giving two fingers to the boys in blue on the way, he will take the easy route to work.

I seriously hate Plato, he's self obsessed, arrogant, a complete dirty driver, "legend of Touring Car" - what a joke!!!

Can't wait till he retires, might actually enjoy going to a BTCC event when that happens... Everyone cheering as he has literally plowed through the back of someone and people saying "ooo what a great overtake"... He isn't even that good, with the cars he's been fortunate enough to drive in he should have delivered more title's imo!

I don't know who is more irratating, him, his Dad or ****ing Tim Harvey.

However, he was able to engage in a thread about himself and tell the stalker exactly why he didn't get a chauffeur drive around "wherever it is he lives" in Plato's 997.

AND he was a good enough sport to not only comply with a custard test but also to get custard in Fifth Gear.

Let's face it, who on here would say no thanks to a helicopter commuter machine?

Did he manage the custard bit then? Must have missed it if so.

Irrespective if his racing, if he's managed to do that then full marks to him!

It means "edited for accuracy"...presumably he thought he'd point out that you are a tosser, but decided he couldn't be arsed.

Have to say I have never found JP irritating when watching him on telly, always thought he seems like a genuine sort without the arrogance that sometimes goes with people who have had similar success.

Personally, I think the Plato/Needel TV bits are the best motoring moments on TV. I don't enjoy the rest of the show but those bits are the ruby in the dust.

I think the bloke has a right if he is slightly arrogant or what most would call cock sure. He's an extremely good dodgem racer and an entertaining driver.

And there is no taking away the top marks for bothering to arse about with a tin of custard for the benefit of a bunch of web numpties.
