Gutted to see the DBRS9 dissappear but thrilled to see a vantage version comming soon

Not the full DBRS9 but .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsFLbTx5aYU&NR=... you see why it will be missed.

Le Mans 2005 Aston Battle with the Corvettes will be a lasting memory of mine for a long long time.

The DBRS9 was one of teh very first GT3 spec cars out there, won a few races last year as well and no doubt a few more this year. Its been a great racing car, but time for a new one and what a cracker!

We haven't even seen the finished Vantage GT3 yet!?
Yeah but i wouldn't pick a v12 vantage over a DB9 in standard form wink
Ah you see that's were we differ, I actually think the shorter Vantage is better proportioned than it's bigger brother. I generally prefer shorter cars anyway as I think long cars look a little odd. It's exactly why I prefer the Gallardo to the Murci. Short, squat, sqaure stance and fat does it for me (cars not women)

Considering the DBS and the V12 Vantage are pretty similar in specs and price, if i had the money for one, it would come down to whether i needed 2 seats or 4 (Or a toss of a coin). I think they're both equally pretty. However, I think the Vantage would win it. Apparently they handle like a dream, and are built more for the track, where as the DB9 or DBS are built for cruising. It'll be interesting to see how it performs in the GT3 series if that's true.

I drove the AM range recently and the DB9 and DBS didn't do too much for me - relatively speaking of course. Against my general taste and expectations, I believe the Rapide is the most impressive of the lot but the V12V is the best driver's car out of all of them. I'd have one in a heart beat.

New V12V GT3 car to take the fight to McLaren, AMG, Ferrari, et al? Brilliant news and look forward to seeing it in action soon. Prodrive is a deeply impressive facility and one of my mates is involved with the AMR-One project so I'll find out if he's doing anything with the GT3 car as well.
