Just back from a week in Argyll, cracking weather the whole week, great roads. It didn’t feel busy but we were told it was. Eating was a challenge at times - we were told the hotels are all struggling for staff due to Brexit and lockdowns etc. so many have stopped doing lunches. With a few exceptions the places we went were usually either closed, fully booked or very average, so research and book ahead or self-cater if you don’t want to be disappointed.
Benmore botanic garden was awesome, amazing what 3000mm of annual rainfall can do!

Meant to update but it was a great long weekend, weather played ball and the roads were fine. Not much traffic and the single track drivers were very courteous, even the tourist camper vans. It was like being in another dimension compared to some previous trips
I'm now back in the sandpit for a few weeks with my FJ to keep me entertained.

Maybe too far down to be fair to you, in the Argyll Forest Park , having left Dunoon heading north to Inveraray. Highlands were then calling as they always do, road from Ullapool to Kylesku is one of the best driving roads ever.
It is but don't tell everyone they all take the single track and avoid it!Think you’re spot on , just checked the time for the photo, couldn’t have been. Route was via A819, A85 to Tyndrum, A82 to Corran ferry, A861 loop clockwise , (after Scrontian maybe? ) back to Fort William, then Kinlochleven for the night.
