M25 North or South

Just been advised I need to do a couple of customer site visits in Basildon Essex on the 5th and 6th Jan. Travelling from Bracknell would you go North or South round the M25 first thing?

Normally drive around the North section which always seems to have roadworks, accidents or queues. Never been round the south section that time in the morning, and not sure where the queues will be on the Dartford crossing?

The North route is roadwork free at the moment.

Go North, The south route is longer and you will have to negotiate the carnage around the dartford crossing.

I'd go north also.
Plus if you were unfortunate enough for something to go wrong on the m25 northside on the days in question, there are a few other routes you could take that will still get you to sunny Basildon

I drive J15 to J21 most mornings and it flows fine, the opposite direction not so much..
