Hi,
Currently planning a 6 day drive to Monaco and back and would like to know if you need winter tyres on Route Napoleon in February?
My car is on standard tyres and I'm not fitting winters just for this trip so would like to know if I should include or exclude the road.
Thanks.
To follow in the steps of Bonapatre you want winter tyres! What are you man or mouse! We've driven it is in January in a 5 litre Chimaera, winter tyres indeed!*Currently planning a 6 day drive to Monaco and back and would like to know if you need winter tyres on Route Napoleon in February?

If there has been heavy snow I would definitely recommend it, the last time we did it in winter a few years ago (in a rather more suitable Xc90) the conditions were appalling and the snow clearance by the authorities was a bit variable.
- Journey not completed, it was a little hairy....

I'll be leaving my Chimaera at home for this one!!! This will be in a FWD euro box.
