Booked myself an Air B&B for late june on the Evo triangle assuming my european summer holiday gets cancelled and lockdown is lifted for longer travel. Cant wait and planning routes already.

The B4518 doesn't go anywhere near Devil's Bridge. I assume you mean the mountain road to Aberystwyth.
The single track section starts at the junction with the road coming up from the Elan Valley reservoirs.
That's the one smile

It starts at the B4518, coming out of Rhayader, but you turn right onto the mountain road towards Devil's Bridge - always assumed that it was the same road as Googlemaps shows it as the 'major' road but changes the name to national cycle route.

But if I follow it to the end, then it becomes the B4754.

yes The B4518 goes straight on down towards the Elan Valley Visitor Centre.
It never makes it that far though: it peters out at the junction for the Centre and the road to the dams.

The B4574 is another weird one. It doesn't quite make it to Cwmystwyth and then doubles back on itself.
Also ending at a junction in the middle of nowhere.

Wales is quite fond of such oddities.
My favourite is the A490 which runs through Llanfyllin and then decides it's had enough.
At that point it stops dead and splits into the B4391 and B4393.
