I've been trying to use CamerAlert which seems to work best with CarPlay, it's not so good through the car's Bluetooth.

I have CarPlay working fine but I can only see the Apple 'Beats' radio available. The Apple website says that other apps can be added - https://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/ . I would like to add BBC IPlayer and/or a radio app to play through the car but I can't see how.

Any ideas?

BBC apps are CarPlay compatible, very few third party apps are. Tune In Radio is worth a look, if you want to stream radio stations, includding BBC.

As above there are only about 10 apps of any use that work with CarPlay

That seems to be the answer, downloaded TuneIn Radio and it immediately appears in CarPlay. Thank you. thumbup

To update:-

It seems that TuneIn Radio would cost me £89.99 after the first month's free trial. It's a decent app but there are plenty of free radios apps. Also while the app works well at home using Wifi it kept losing connection in the car, probably because of the poor mobile reception in the area.

I also added Spotify which does seem to work well in CarPlay.
