Anyone know when the high mountain roads in the Pyrenees get covered in/closed by snow? Was thinking of doing a road trip there in late Sep/early Oct. I know the Alps can suffer with this at that time of year but am hoping the snow comes a bit later in the Pyrenees?
You'll be fine that time of year. I've been there mid/late October a few times and had no issues. Snow generally comes late to the Pyrenees, I've known higher passes still closed in mid May before.
