I’m off to the Ring on the 23rd June (VLN race on the Sat, 6 hour bike race on Sunday) and will then be travelling to Assen for MotoGP the following weekend.

I’ll be on the motorbike, and need to fill the time between the two destinations (nice quandary to have). Any suggestions of good roads or places to visit . . . I’m thinking of keeping it in Germany?

Went to Berlin last year so don’t need to go back there for a while. Also did the VW, Porsche and Merc museums, (plus Austria GP and the Alps).

Car/bike related is good, but anything interesting really.

I'm thinking as far South as this place:

We're there the previous weekend. Take the road south of Adenau, Head for Cochem via Auderath. That route is very popular with bikers. Hotel Wilhelmshohe (Auderath) is a good stopover. Castle in Cochem is impressive.

This place is well worth a visit, and you will be going straight past it. Last time I went loads of bikes as well as cars. All for sale...

Drive along the Mosel river from Cochem upto Trier is nice .
Ardenne region and Luxembourg are great.
Spent a day or two driving in Sauerland region.
Classic Remise is a nice stop for a couple of hours.

Mind your speed in the Netherlands biggrin
