Where to park for Heathrow, Harrogate, and Goodwood?

I need to:
(a) Park my car somewhere
(b) Take a train to Harrogate, arriving there by 5pm latest.
(c) The next day, fly out from Manchester
(d) A bit over a week later, fly into Heathrow on Saturday morning
(e) Get to car from Heathrow, and then drive to Goodwood for the member's meeting
I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way of doing this. One option is to park at Heathrow itself. Another is to park somewhere near Reading for the rail links.
Just possibly, I might be best off hiring a car from Heathrow for the weekend. In principle, I can also take train to Chichester.
What would you suggest for someone in my position?
