I've been tasked with taking my wife's employers horsebox to Frosolone, Central Italy.

Looking at google maps and other web sources, I can find many routes but not many with information about low bridges or roads which aren't suitable.

I've always wanted to do a Euro road trip and being paid for it is ideal, but not exactly the mode of transport I had in mind.

Most direct route (according to google) seems to be through France , just skirting around Switzerland then into Italy via Mont Blanc.

Am I mad thinking it would be a good idea?

The horsebox is brand new, I will be flying back.

Not got a clue how much I'm gonna charge them yet>

Over 3.5t? Bit of a pain if so for the mb tunnel, far easier if not.

Yes that route is most direct, not most interesting however, but if you've never done it the mb is worth doing, well not the tunnel itself it's dull & smelly but the accent & descent to it.

Is it over 3m high? Gets pricey on the French tolls if so, calculate it properly.

Re work your map, to go via belguim/luxemberg/germany/ switzerland, much less tolls and cheaper fuel.
