M27 Average speed cameras go live 7th January

Regular users will no doubt have spotted the yellow average speed camera gantries erected in the last few months in preparation for the "smart motorway" works to commence on J4 to J11 of the M27 (Southampton to Fareham basically)
They are currently clearly marked as not is use, but according to the local papers this will all change on Monday when the cameras go live between J4 and J8 initially.
50 mph zones and contraflows are planned as work goes ahead, though hopefully a lot will be done at night.
As someone who uses J5 to beyond J12 and darkest Pompey and back every day this is going to be interesting to say the least, might have to reset my speed warning dinger to a slightly lower figure too...
