Has anyone been through recently? What sort of delays did you experience? We’ll be crossing at Irún in August and just trying to prepare.

Thanks

One of my colleagues drove from the UK to Spain (Girona) on Monday this week.
I've asked what the border crossing was like, will update when she gets back to me.

ETA, she reports they were fully open with no police presence.

Talks between France and Spain due to take place and the border could be closed due to a spike in catalonia.

Worth keeping an eye on.

Just to update, we crossed the France-Spain border at Irún today with absolutely no problem, no queuing. There was a couple of hours of delay after Bordeaux but we couldn’t see why. Worse than other years, but it’s all done now! Good luck if you’re passing that way. Stay cool. And change your water pump first if you’re driving an N52 engined BMW.

ETA- the traffic after Bordeaux was worse than other years but the drive overall was better!
