Literally convinced the Mrs into doing the NC500 this year. Even made her watch the Grand Tour episode to show her and she’s agreed. Can’t wait and reading threads like this make me so excited!! Good job and great selection of cars!!
I would be very cautious about planning a trip like this from Wales this year.
Nicola Sturgeon is very slow with relaxing restrictions. Im not sure cross border travel will be allowed until much later in the year.

Sadly I'm inclined to agree. We had to cancel our planned and booked NC500 trip last year and we'll have to cancel this year's spring trip too. I'm not rebooking until the situation is much clearer.

I was desperate to get back up to Scotland last year but sadly covid put a stop to it.

I drove parts of NC500 in 2017 as part of my honeymoon. We had a base of 5 days opposite the bealach na ba in a place called - Achintraid - to be fair the road leading there from Lochcarron is fantastic too.

I was very lucky going up the Bealach na Ba in that we rarely got held up and when we did it was often due to Stags roaming around! We went up it about 3 times to get to the pub! A beautiful road and was on my bucket list for years. I encourage everyone to try it in the drier months.

I can't wait to go again and my wife keeps asking where should we go when Covid is over and this is one of the places I'd love to go with my son - the NC500 I'd love to do fully one day with some mates with the right machinery.

Anyway shots from my trip:

My bag is (literally) still packed from the last time the NC500 was cancelled. It's going to be heaving!

It won't be any busier than it was last year when restrictions got lifted tbf and that was with them pedaling the whole Staycation thing. Pick your time/dates wisely and even in the middle of the season you still get a lot of empty roads and little to no traffic

Nice write up and some great photos thumbup
Depressing to see so many shed draggers parked up at Kylesku
Prior to them "marketing" the NC500 it was VERY rare to see more than a couple there frown

To be fair that's the first time I had seen so many there. Friday evening probably played a part, didn't even get to do any donuts

Just watched the top gear episode and am tempted to do this. Anyone got any recommendations of places to stop up with kids?

I'm just back from doing the 'southern' part with 10 other cars.

A couple of hotel highlights on the west coast were The Oyster Inn, Connel and Kintail Lodge.

Kintail in particular is stunning if you get the weather.

Just returned from a 4 day trip largely following in your footsteps. Thank you for the guide it was a great help planning the trip whio]ch we loved. We took my e92 M3 and for the first time I really got what that car is about. It was as if the e92 had been designed for those roads.
