Just seen your comment on the £15 priority disembarkation.
Is this a new option.
I am a BF club member have done this route every year since 2009 and always book Commodore class. I have never noticed the priority disembarkation banghead will certainly look this year thumbup
It's definitely new, and it's definitely there to be booked, although it is limited to certain cabin classes. Initially it wasn't available on the Pont Aven "due to the ship layout", but they must have worked out a way because it's there now.

We're going in a few weeks - Pont Aven out, Santona back and priority disembarkation booked for both. For both crossings, check-in time is 105 minutes before departure due to priority disembarkation. If this means that we're on the boat sharpish then I'll be very happy. If it means we sit in a "special queue" for 95 minutes before getting on the boat, I'll be less pleased. However, the real value for me will be the disembarkation at Portsmouth coming home. If we get into the queue for passport control before all the motorbikes and motorhomes then it's job done.

Does your ferry arrive first thing or later in the day? What car are you in / how far are you comfortable driving?

Cognac or St Emilion both good points to break, then huesca area

Ferry arrives early morning but we are possibly visiting friends near Alencon for breakfast. Then heading in general direction of Bordeaux for first night stop.
Driving a Vanquish (volante) and happy to do 200 - 300 Miles per day

Try Chais Monet hotel & spa in Cognac

Then day after you can reach carcassone or San Sebastián
