Was out there on Thursday around 6pm. Girlfriend even rescued a stray lamb which had got stuck the wrongs side of a fence from its mother sheep.
Couple of guys in a white MX5 were making progress as was a local farmer in a pick up truck.
Great weather for it then.
I was walking on the Triangle for nearly 45 minute around that time Thursday afternoon was the best time I've had on and around the Triangle for some time now. Perfect weather, perfect day Couple of guys in a white MX5 were making progress as was a local farmer in a pick up truck.

What is the quickest way to get to Llandindrod Wells from Central London?
There are a few routes to take, but I'm not sure which is the quickest and still safe to drive at night?
We'd be leaving at about 7.30 - 8pm to avoid traffic out of London. It will be pitch black while we're driving.

Done it in reverse From there back to Herts) at night and there's no way to avoid miles of twisty unlit B roads. No traffic mind. M4 /M5 M50 or A44 via Leominster. There are a few routes to take, but I'm not sure which is the quickest and still safe to drive at night?

Handy new interactive map for anyone searching for other good driving roads, superunleaded ... or spa hotels when tents & B&B's just won't cut it with partner

I'm guessing petrol stations are pretty few and far between? Are there any "you must refuel here, as if you don't there isn't another one for 300 miles"-places, as you head into the minor roads on the way to the Triangle, or towards Bala?
I'd probably pretty much top up whenever I saw one I think, better safe than sorry, particularly if stuck somewhere with no fuel and no phone signal is the (potential) alternative...

Petrol in Ruthin, Wrexham, Betws-y-coed and no doubt elsewhere too. I've only once had a problem in my 996 GT2 when I did a tank of fuel in less than 100 miles on the ET and surrounding roads. I limped back to Betws y coed with this on the dash for a good 20 miles :Fuel's not a problem

Its not quite as much the back of beyond as you fear. Distances aren't huge between towns. Shell V power orMomentum 99 a little harder to locate but there's plenty within say a 30 mile radius. As Henry says, Conway, Betws, Porthmadog , Wrexham, surround the area and have what you need.I'd probably pretty much top up whenever I saw one I think, better safe than sorry, particularly if stuck somewhere with no fuel and no phone signal is the (potential) alternative...
