WTF have they done to it!? Fair enough they are sorting the bypass tunnel but they have diverted the DC onto a single lane road that they have built for this sole purpose and then to top it off they stick a bloody speed camera on it!

I thought there had to be a certain number of deaths on a road before it could have a camera? Surely if that is the case they can't stick it on a brand new road?

The rules don't say when the deaths have to have occurred! They're obviously thinking ahead eek

To be fair, the speed camera is on a section of road that is near to people working. Or was anyway.

So to make sure people keep it slow, instead of ragging it past people working on the side of the road.

Which I think is fair enough.

But it better not stay there once they have build the tunnel.

But I had to use the road during rush house for a week 2 weeks ago.

I just went via Haslemere instead, avoids Hindhead completely. No speed cameras. No queuing for months.

Fair enough but you can guarentee that they will still be there when the roadworks go.

And the road from Haslemere to Milford is quite good aswell, with only a couple of minor 30mph annoyances along the way. A late night blast in a Cinquecento turbo was quite enjoyable anyway biggrin
