Norway Road Trip

Thinking of getting the ferry from Newcastle to Stavanger in late July ... but that's as far as we've thought!

Probably heading up the West Coast, I like the sound of the "Atlantic Road"

Anyone got a suggested itinerary or any advice?

(and yes I know the speed limits are stupidly low and alcohol prices are stupidly high )

Thanks for the link, some good photos but not much info.

I've been trawling the net and tbh the best advice I've found so far is on a bike forum. Maybe information overload though! However it's given me some better idea of where to go and what to expect.

Catz talk to Ross he did a full route as a suggestion for last years Honda Euro Tour, What put us off was the high fines and gestapo type policing in the Nordic countries.

Ross did send me a map of a suggested route but it wasn't very detailed ... he's maybe got something with more detail squirreled away though so I'll ask again.

It's tricky to plan because there are so many ferries, tunnels, tolls etc but some of the scenery looks amazing!

The scenery is spectacular. Lots of photos on the thread somebody linked to earlier and a few new ones on the Viking Tour page. Norway is a photographer's dream destination.
