Came home from Cardiff today and decided to take the scenic route A470, Elan Valley (sunshine), Cymystwyh (light rain), Ponterwyd (snow), Capel Bangor (hail), Penrhyncoch (rain).

Gotta love that local weather smile Fantastic drive though. Thoroughly enjoyed swinging the arse around those hairpins. There was a group of 3 Evos enjoying the road too, but they stopped at the visitor centre carpark.

I'm very lucky in that my job allows me to do the Aberystwyth mountain road several times a year.

Even though i don't live that far away, this is an area i have never driven. This is something i plan to rectify this summer.

Went from Worcestershire to the Elan Valley on Tuesday, then headed to Aberystwyth around Snowdonia and then the EVO Triangle. The mountain road out of the valley to Devils Bridge is absolutly amazing, better than the triangle? Maybe?! Saw only one car on the mountain pass coming the other way and the whole time were were in the valley all we saw were Severn Trent Defenders, a brilliant place, shame it was a bit wet. A great drive though biggrin

Excuse the reflection lol

Further along the Aberystwyth Mountain road there is some really interesting old industrial architecture.

More here:

Hard to pick the best photos from that bunch.
