M25 Midweek Traffic?

Hi all,

Just wanted some advice on what time to set off on a few trips next week, and figured you lot might have been round the M25 a few more times than I have around the rush 'hour' times.

On Wednesday, I'll be hitting the M25 J4 and going anti-clockwise round to J23. I need to get there for 8-8:15a.m.
On Thursday, I'm going the other way from J4 to J17 hoping to arrive around 4:30p.m.

I'm considering going up and through the Blackwall Tunnel instead, but I've seen some monstrous queues up the approach back for some miles down the A2 on occasion.

Any advice would be appreciated, and if there are any generally 'good' times for clockwise/anti-clockwise journeys - in daylight hours

By far the fastest route for this trip will be around the M25. Barring accidents, traffic flow anti-clockwise should be acceptable at the time you are travelling. Do not under any circumstances attempt the A2 / Blackwall Tunnel option. The A2 will be very slow indeed from the Black Prince interchange as early as 6.15am, all the way until you cross the Thames.
