Take the A4212 from Bala to Ffestiniog, and then the B road that lead off to the right about eight miles in...heading for Ffestiniog (short-cut)...its miles better than the Triangle imho. And if you've a quick motor the A4212 can be entertaining tbh, I certainly enjoy it on the bike.

Thanks - just marked that on my map - that whole area just looks superb and driving those roads is a real pleasure - especially during the week days.
