Driving roads - East of England

Would appreciate any suggestions of any decent routes through the East of England counties, esepcially in the south of the region?

crikey, east of england, in the south.......wheres that????? Im in south yorkshire which is east of the pennines, does that count. I suppose kent is also in the south of the east of england too.

I had a great drive yesterday along the B660 from Peterborough (A1) to Bedford - well worth a hoon if you're going that way...

Relatively quiet and fast flowing roads.
