Loads, where abouts do you live? if you are near baldock, take the a507 from baldock to buntingford, watch out for sharp bends and bikers. Or, take the road from hitchin to welwyn.

On the subject of Bucks, do you know the back road (B485 I think) between Chesham to Great Missenden? Not all that long but lovely, uncrowded road with big widen open sweeping bends and some nice views.

Whereabouts are you thinking?

You won't get any "wow, this is better than Snowdonia and Dartmoor put together" roads I don't suppose, but there are some entertaining twisty, reasonably quiet stretches.

As a starting point. Take the road from Welwyn to Hitchin, then continue along the road from Hitchin to Barton Le Clay and, instead of going all the way to the end, explore a few side turnings. The one near Higham Gobian is quite fun.

Another one that a lot of London dwellers rate is the B158 from Potters Bar to Hertford, it's a bit busy though during sociable hours. However, beyond there, the roads towards Bishops Stortford are rather entertaining (head for the Hadhams...) and, if you keep going, North West Essex has some cracking roads.
