I've got a meeting on Thursday in Ulverston.

Early start - 10am - but should be done by 12.

Anybody recommend a good say 45mins-1 hr run in the South lakes area?

A595 heading north. Stop for drinks and nibbles/turn round at Gosforth, its an underated stretch imo.

Good suggestion. If it's a clear day, come back via the Corney Fell road.

Probably too late now but a more interesting route to Gosforth would be to take the A595 to Broughton-in-Furness, then hook off to go over Birker Fell, then into Gosforth through the back (ooh err).

Could then complete the circuit using Corney Fell too.

Just watch out for sheep!

Thanks guys.

I ended up going to High Bentham, near Kirby Lonsdale, and then down to Slaidburn.
