Scotland in a Z06 - good roads and accommodation please

Having spent 2 weeks on the Hebrides years ago, I have really bad souvenirs
of these midges, it was my fault,why cleaning the windscreen, when they are most active?
At least, the chemist in Stornoway was very helpful, don't remember what he
offered me, but I'll never forget them!!

Thanks for the advices here in the forum, some of the roads I remember are
mentioned, never saw a speed-trap or a policeman anywhere.

We are planning a trip to Western Scotland and the Islands next year :-))

Do you need to know an Avon Lady too or can you buy this stuff elsewhere?

Most shops in the Highlands sell it, as they know it works. They put the price up by 100%
