Roads around Brighton

Going to Brighton tomorrow from London for the day. Planning to leave home around 0600 to avoid traffic as am picking up a friend in central London.
I first think I shall head to Worthing to drop off a home amplifier to have serviced by Rotel (might aswell since I'm heading that way) and on to Brighton along the coast afterwards to enjoy the beach (hopefully the sun will come out although the forecast is not looking too good).
What I'm wondering is if anyone could recommend a good hooning route after I break free of the M25 to Worthing and one on the way back
