Hi All,

Wondered if anyone on here knows anything about the "temporary" roadworks at the M3 / M25 Junction...
I think it's been running for about 2 years now, and when I spoke to the "Cones Helpline" about 6 months ago, they did not have any idea when it would finish.

Anyone on here got any idea when it is likely to finish, or are we saddled with the ridiculous situation where we have the main road out of London permamently down to one lane!

A friend (granted he is a little paranoid due to smoking a lot of the funny stuff) has a theory that it's all down to the ANPR cameras not working properly above 50 mph, and the whole excercise is purely to slow down the traffic for "Big Brother" purposes.. I am not convinced.. but.... any thoughts?

There was a thread about this not so long a go in speed plod & the law (I think) so you may be able to find it using the search function.

I honestly can't remember the end result of the thread in question though, sorry.

Found it.

They're about to be made a permanent feature.

Early summer this year, so should start in a couple of months.

Thin edge of the wedge - can we expect all motorway junctions to now become 50 limits?!
