Sounds like a fantastic trip, I am going to have to look up a few of thse passes to find their locations.

We too will be doing an 11 night family trip in my Porsche 930 in Aug. covering Sothern Germany to Bregenz to St. Moritz over the Stelvio Pass down to Lake Garda. I wou whichld be interested in knowing of the passes you are doing would be along my route?

If you want tips packing, you are welcome to see how we pack my car for a family of four. Keep it light, shorts, t-shirts and flip flops all the way.

Forgot to mention I live near and work in Maranello so if you want a few tips of where to have a good meal, let me know. Also the Lamborghini family museum is well worth the trip especially if Fabio Lamborghini is doing the tour.

Much to swmbo's irritation our route is still fairly fluid smile especially around the weds/thurs stelvio area, thinking of dropping into Bormio via Livigno and then taking the Umbrail and Reschen passes rather than the stelvio and heading north in order to drop back into Italy via the Timmelsjoch etc etc, but tom tom is giving 9 hours solid driving rofl

I have emailed the Family in Dosso but atm I am still waiting to see if they can tag us onto a larger tour as we are on our own frown Will probably just turn up and knock in anycase :P

One thing you can help with though is, how bad is the ZTL zone in Modena?? Are euro iv cars exempt? don't want to get a fine in 12 months time smile

Packing rofl We where planning on taking a small smart holdall and 14 carrier bags (1 for each day) and transferring the days tesco bag to the holdall to carry into the hotel :P

As for your route it all depends on how much time you want to take, I would travel to St moritz over the Stelvio rather than from Moritz to Garda over the Stelvio. Certainly that way the Reschen pass from Nauders down to Stelvio, then leave the west ramp to take the Umbrail pass, then ofenpass to Zernez from where you can travel direct to Sr Moritz or take a detour via Davos (fluelapass)then head to savognin to drop into St Moritz via the Julierpass OR head to Filisur and Ponte to go via the Albulapass. To get to Nauders from Bregenz I would probably take the L200, L198, B197 to Landeck, which also includes the Hochtannbergpass smile To get from St Moritz to Lake Garda I would need to study the map wink.
