hehe I've been enjoying the Drift roads over the last few weeks! Would be more so but I appear to have broken the sodding suspension on my car... however fingers crossed that should be a little better tomorrow.
those roads are awesome, do you guys have driving meets then? i'll have to show my face at the next one. I love a bit of a blat.

MM - echo +6 makes up for the lack of pace of le range surely?

I actually meant on my recent somewhat elongated journey to work, but yep we are known for going out on the odd drive, mainly at antisocial hours on a sunday.

that's when i tend to go out driving! nothing better than empty roads. I'll keep an eye in the local section then, i assume that's where it's organised? i'll try my best not to hold you all up aswell wink

just seen this thread! i am driving in windsor all the time. My advice is to head into the Fifield area via the back of dedworth aswell, some awesome country roads around that way, and follow it all the way round to places like ascot and maidenhead. Definately the best driving roads around here. Where abouts do you live and what do you drive? might have seen you about.
Hi nick_s (and the rest of you smile

I live more or less opposite Windsor Racecourse and drive a Mk5 Golf GTi. I'm still exploring the roads and area and after getting a couple of PM's from the guys on here I went to check out Drift road (via Maidenhead Road and through Fifield)......it's GOOOOD thumbup

There are loads of great roads in that area. I went for a blat on Sunday. Cant remember the route I went but I remember seeing signs for Winkfield and I ended up near Shurlock Row. I had to put on my tomtom to get me home hehe

Keep your eyes open on the Thames Valley forum, we quite often meet up at weekends for a little drive in the country, normally a early start finishing for Breakfast somewhere.

I'll keep an eye out aswell. Another good area to go is Burnham Beeches. But yea the drift road is really near to you actually. Those surrounding roads are alot of fun.

I have always thoughts the roads around windsor are pretty boring. Will keep my eye on this to see if i can get some new ideas.

The best drives I have had are north of the m4 between the m40 and reading.
