So Im going on a road trip....

So Im going on a road trip, 3 friends, a tent, the trusty focus estate and Myself.
Going on the 6am ferry from dover to dunkerque, from there I want to head to Berlin either in one go or over two days with a stop over at a campsite. From Berlin I want to at least dip a toe into Poland and from there whatever, possibly to Swiss.
So, questions are:
1, Are the autobahns to Berlin good? any to be avoided? Is Berlin in one go a good idea?
2, Are there any places I really should look at? (Ring is tempting but Im worryed about the insurance issues) Hamburg?
3, Whats good in Berlin?
4, Where should I go in Poland? Thinkng Wroclaw or Krakow.
5, In the last 4 days any suggestions? and is this plan too ambitious?

I went on a school coach trip and we did Berlin in one day so it should be no problem in a car. All of Poland is pretty stty compared to UK and Germany but you should be alright if you stick to Krakow. We stayed in Auschvensen (don't know how to spell it) and although it was supposedly 3* it was truely horrific. We got a guided tour of Berlin, that was pretty interesting so if you're interested in your history go for that.
