Last night I was travelling north on the A1 and the Satnav tells me the A1 is shut and diverts me through Bedford and Northampton on to the M1. Q Was the A1 really shut or was my satnav having a laff?
They have been closing the northbound carriageway between the a428 and the a14 for a while, work should have completed by 27/12 but looks like it has overrun. Made a mess of my trip to Cadwell Park last Friday evening!
There were no roadsigns saying it was closed ahead and nothing on the radio, that is why I wasn't sure, but thank you for the confirmation that my satnav was telling the truth and I should believe it in future
