would you believe me if I told you I cleaned the whole car this morning? The tips and alloys don't stay clean long at all. I've done almost a thousand miles in 8 days just having fun.

I'll wave you through on that one, my car is hardly clean as a whistle at the moment!

4x Gold Audi Tuner Award for Europe. They know their stuff! I travelled 2 hours just so they could service my S4. They also remapped it, replaced the cams and all sorts of other work. Wouldn't take it anywhere else.

Get them to map it! They've done lots of C6 RS6's now to over 700hp. smile

Excellent car, looks truly fantastic.

Damn near every time I see an older RS6 out on the roads, they're all the same shade of grey as my A6 Avant .... makes them a bit of a Q car, and swmbo never understood why I always say "I ... WANT .... THAT ... CAR". She just says "Eh? It looks just like yours". Yah, but mine only has a 1.9 diesel, that thing is a rocket ship.

I'd love one, but realistically I'll probably just end up with the 2.7 twin turbo.

I am sure it is a remarkable car with silly horsepower but is it more fun to drive this or the RX-8 which makes you work a little harder. I imagine that this car is so fast it's almost boring to to drive as the limits are so high approaching them on public streets would be insane and most likely impossible. i love big horsepower but there is also something to be said for driving a slow car fast too.

PaulFontaine,

That is a very good point. The RX-8 is hard car to maintain speed in with it's high revving nature - very similar to a VTEC, it makes you work a lot to keep it on the 'bubble'. The chassis really could handle a lot more power though and there is always the feeling of what could have been. The RS6 is absolutely brutal, there is no other word for it. There is very little about that can keep up with it, certainly nothing I have seen in the two weeks of ownership and a few have tried. The stopping power is vast - and it needs to be, this is a heavy car but the weight is disguised very well. They are very different creatures but I think the most telling point is that I have only been out in the RX-8 once since buying the RS6 and it really did feel slow. I am loathe to let it go, but it will never thrill me again..
