So, I've gone and bought another car ...

Another example of 1970's British Leylands finest, a Triumph TR7 Coupe. To add to my fleet of 1984 Porsche 944, 1976 Factory MGB GT V8 and a 1966 MGB Roadster.

It didn't cost a lot of money was quite fun to drive (as fun as a test drive gets) and will be improved but is fundimentally very solid indeed.

Pics to follow when I pick it up on Thursday.

Perhaps I ought to keep updating this thread with all the cars I buy biggrin

Cool. What year is it and does it have a sunroof? Non sunroof FHC's are rare now.

This is my TR7, its actually my 2nd. Had this one since Jan 2001. This ones a 1977 (previous one was a 76). Although it's not really factory standard now. 220-230hp 3.5 RV8 and one or two other mods.

Can't wait to see some pics biggrin

It's a 1977 and yes, it has a glass sunroof. smile It's a very original car, will post pics when we've picked the car up.

I've drove a Rover V8 converted TR7 before, good fun but the one I drove was not very well set up! 220-230bhp out of a RV8, you must have been up to something on that too? smile

Your's looks nice, are they MGF / TF alloys it's got?

Yeah one or two bits. Look up SAH and Triumph Tune. Although these days it's largely S&S Performance and Rimmers.

Yep MGF alloys. They just need a small amount milling which you can do with a Dremal or similar and they fit right on. Mike Satur does some wheel adapters so you can run many other alloy pcd's.

Looks good. My cousin has one that colour too. Looks like it's on TR8 alloys too and has US spec cruise lights. And is that a front spoiler I can see too?

smile Hope you enjoy it.
