My 2004 Range Rover Vogue Td6
Discussion
As the old girl provides such sterling service I thought I'd pop her up on here rather than do some work...
No mods of any kind, factory fit chrome airvents, sidesteps, 20'' Stormer wheels, old style nav/tv etc. She's such a beauty to drive though. Cruises nicely at European speeds and drives up mountains... What more could you want?
I actually use it off road too as I shoot quite a lot and also enjoy being able to go where other cars don't dare to tread.

Always!
I've driven it up pretty much every decent muddy slope in Yorkshire and last week drove up a very satisfying muddy mountain in the south of France.
Sooner or later I'm going to get done for trespassing but I just can't help myself - there is something seriously satisfying about driving it up a hill and then driving on the motorway in regal splendour...

The only thing I would change (if I could be arsed - which I can't) would be to get rid of the 20'' wheels and go for some 19s. The ride is much improved and you can't really notice the difference.
The RR on 18s is like being in a Bentley ride-wise but they're just a bit too small...

Good for you, lovely car! I love my Range Rover too! They are much maligned, by those who don't 'get' them, but for those in the know, fantastic! No mods of any kind, factory fit chrome airvents, sidesteps, 20'' Stormer wheels, old style nav/tv etc. She's such a beauty to drive though. Nice to see someone using one correctly, but I dare say I didnt expect a petrol head to just use it for picking the kids up... fantastically capable machines, ever done the Land Rover Experience? Thats where I first found out how capable these 'posh' looking off road vehicles actually were, and it now bugs me why so many people don't use them for what their designed for!!
Craig, yes, I've lots of LR stuff, got my level 1 & 2 certificates which cost a lot (1 is about 285, 2 is 375 I think). Definitely worth knowing how to handle it as it is such a big bugger.
The best part is the motorway manners though. In about 5 minutes I'm about to drive from Harrogate to Devon and I know I'll arrive as relaxed as I left.
At my last LR day they let me loose in a MY11 RR and it was quite different in terms of where the buttons are etc. It was the new 4.4 diesel and the torque is astonishing. As they know me there they let me have a play, managed to get up a super steep muddy hill in low range 5th gear, probably could have done it in 6th...
Right, better dash, those pasties and clotted cream teas aint going to eat themselves...
