Just seen this thread. Does insanity run in the family or is it a large streak of bravery. I have a S1 with a supercharged, charge cooled Honda engine. Puts out 300 bhp at the rear wheels which is adequate, if not a little scary at times.

I have not read all the thread yet but admire you just for coming up with the project. I look forward to seeing its progress.

Just had a look at your profile. Yours is in the best colour too. Once it is all done I would love to see it. I am based in Bucks. Just a short blast across country to get your way.

Looks good! Have you done any FEA on the Upright? (it's always a bit of a 'mare trying to decide on sensible load cases, and also why OEM's still do "kerb strike" tests etc even after lots of FEA/FMEA work ;-)
For track use only wink plus i'm not 100% sure they will be sold to the masses.
You've done no FEA at all?

had a chance to talk to my engineer.....

"Yes I have done some fea, and point load simulations in solidworks. Not sharing that information publicly though as that's my info that I'm not going to show other people so they know what to do if there going to try and copy them"

Wow this just gets better and better - makes mine look like a piss poor effort!

Machine work is beautiful, I bet this is costing you a bloody fortune! biggrin

Still, I can't think of any better way to spend money ha ha, good stuff, keep it coming! smile

Sorry if the question has been covered elsewhere, but I was just curious why you had not decided to use a positive displacement supercharger, IE twin screw lysholm type....
