Picked this up a few weeks ago and have already put 1500 miles on it. It ticks EVERY box I could wish for and after a very long list of cars this is the best one to day for being a complete package. I can even get 35mpg on a motorway out of it
It has the uprated RCD500 head unit, 10 speaker upgrade, full leather, parking sensors, convience lighting, full MFD computer and came with out 18500 miles on it. It'll be the family car, race car, holiday wagon and anything else we can think of. Very happy.
Here's the result of a weekend of work detailing the car all of which you can read about here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Well chuffed

I always open r32 threads hoping for a skyline, and always end up dissapointed
I'm the opposite, I hope to see a Golf over some horrible jap car.You hope to see a golf? Just walk outside in any street in the country. The m25 must be seriously exciting for you.
Horrible jap car? It was a technology masterpiece in its day just like the gtr is today. Premium badge snob much?
Nice car though op, does look good in black.

I sure am.Horrible jap car? It was a technology masterpiece in its day just like the gtr is today. Premium badge snob much?
Just because it was a technological masterpiece doesn't mean I have to like it. I hate the current GTR too. Give me a 911 over one any day of the week.

Would you take a mk2 golf gti over an r32 gtr?
Because that is the gulf in standards between the 2 cars of the same age.

Yes to both. I would never own a non-European manufacturer car anyway. Would you take a mk2 golf gti over an r32 gtr?

I would be quite ashamed to be seen in an old Skyline to be honest. Would just give the impression of a boy racer who couldn't afford a new car (imo).

Oh dear. So all classic cars are for skintos? You really are quite an enthusiast.
I never said anything of the sort. I just really dislike cars like the skyline. I love lots of classic cars, just not American or Japanese ones. Some people might like the jap scene, but personally I prefer British sports cars and European hot hatches.
