Peugeot 206 GTi (138)
Discussion
The one I had must have been a lemon as had nothing but problems with it...power steering pump, lumpy running and general niggling electrical issues, but still loved the car and only got rid as got a good trade in price for it.
My mate had the 180 which I thought looked much better than the 138 with its bigger 17inch wheels, and better seats. Would have another if I was 21-25...prob a bit old at 30 to drive one now.

Will always have a soft spot for the 206. Have been contemplating a 138 as a project, but at present its out of the question.
Yours looks nice, what sort of MPG are you getting?
Best I've had is 35mpg on mainly motorway. 26-27 around town. I always pinch myself when I think of modding my motor because for the price of a cat cams and re map (around £500 for an extra 23bhp) I could sell this and get a 180 with loads more kit than just the extra power.Yours looks nice, what sort of MPG are you getting?

I do like the 206, I would really like a go in the 180.
If I bought the 138, I would think to myself every day, why didn't i get the 306 gti?
Quicker (167bhp with 6 gears), cheaper, and better looking.
Agreed with all the above, but at the time group 15 was a tad too much, also very hard to find a nice unmolested one and not to sure about the interiors, they look very dated. Personally I would go for a 306 rallye and they seem to have become a slightly more collectible 3k + item now.If I bought the 138, I would think to myself every day, why didn't i get the 306 gti?
