I need to stay away from this thread. I could buy and insure an 855 T5 for the cost of renewing my insurance in the BMW.

Tell me about it. I've wanted an 855 T-5R since my parents bought their first T5 in 2001. At the time I had my 850 (2004-5) they were still £5-8k but these days there are several around the £2k mark.

Insurance for me at the grand old age of 27 is about £300 a year smile

Hmmm. Just when I thought I'd settled on a 330! scratchchin

I've been considering an 850R Estate for a while now. I nearly went through with it in August last year but bottled out and lost money on the train fair to Scotland hehe

It's the noise for me. That and a larger turbo = 300BHP.

It will be done eventually as a cheaper less desirable to thieves Focus ST.

Stop it, the thought of a 300bhp 855 T5 is becoming too much, flames and that warrrrb. Hmmm can I buy a second car and hide it from the parents? hehe

That interior is still a masterpiece of design, though I was never that fond of the Spaceball gearstick.

Really? Other than the "is it an auto, is it a manual, is it a car, is it plane?" kind of comments, I think it looks quite modern in a Scandinavian (read Ikea) sort of way.

Nice, looks very What? Car. How did did you do it? I find leaning out of an open car door or sitting in an open boot quite effective.

Thanks, although I wouldn't go that far when it comes to my snaps.

The T5 is a very nice place to be, in fact I've got another 250 miles lined up in it tomorrow. smile

I'm still planning on changing it imminently, but just can't make up my mind what to get. All I know is that is has to be naturally aspirated and RWD.

My friend was just leaning out the offside rear window of my other friend's car.

We then experimented with a variety of road speeds and shutter speeds.

Interestingly, we've both settled on the same shutter speed (for your most compositionally similar shot to mine posted above) - 1/100th/s

Now that I know is a favourite location for What Car? I'm staying quiet, as I've seen their old location book.
