Finally got the exhaust fitted today, what a difference! Have only done a couple miles since but throttle response is much sharper and really picks up quick now! Its not the loudest exhaust out there but my opt for a non-resonanted pipe in the future wink

Really pleased with the fact it manages to sit bang on in the middle of the hole too, perfect!
Some lads can have problems with it hanging to high or too low ( stop sniggering at the back there! )

Will report back when i've done an ecu reset so it can re-learn Air:fuel mixtures!

but for now driving

Been and bought a milltek non-resonated connecting pipe as i think the vocals could be a tad louder, hopefully getting it fitted this week!

Got the non-resonated connecting pipe in a few weeks ago, now proper popping/cracking/banging like a goodun!

My next mod , just to the pure and simple factor because i fancied it, is re-machine the original throttle body (57mm) to about 63mm. i already run the larger 60mm tb from the 2.3 duratec( which is a definite improvement ), it could work or it may not, i may just loose a st load of torque, who knows till i try it! In theory it should be a gain as the throttle body will still have some taper left to create a faster airflow, and will still be a smaller diameter bore than that of the manifold.

Got it all dissmantled and shall be boring out the casting at somepoint soon!

Well over 2 years on, still got it and only on 55k now.

After having the exhaust fitted i had a remap at AMD and was really please, car was transformed. It pulled so much better, mid range torque was better than ever and it could actually hold an idle in gear crawl as opposed to bogging down and stalling.

I got some different wheels, which were only on the car for 4 weeks then sold on to a friend.

Got it on the dyno, first time since having the car remapped.

In a comparison shot, comparing mine to an ST running MP165 ( MP165 ran much higher than expected! )
I was pleased with how it was running. There wasn't many running the same mods and map as mine, a friend had the puma speed 182 kit ( exact same mods but different map ) and it ran 172 also.

6 months following that i had it back on the dyno. Since the previous run i had a full service, oil + filter , fuel filter, clean air filter, spark plugs. Also ran through redex whilst running through a couple tanks of V-Power after having the service done.
When running it on the day i ran on V-Power. Before i was only running on 95ron.

This time.....

woohoo we'll call that 180! Was very happy as it was middle of summer and quite hot as well so we'll see again when its a bit cooler.

Been to a couple of meets, mine and a friends 197 found the originals!

The car does have a new look though. An acquired taste....

I was kind of bored one day and fancied just doing it for Ford Fair, i'm not normally into stickers or stripes but seeing as everyone removes them these days i fancied putting some back on. I wanted something subtle and not in your face as white, black i think would have been too much so went with silver.

Cheers lads. I won't be selling it anytime soon, i think if i did i'd want it back after 5min!

Only problem i've found with them being matt is they stained not long after i got them, had some dirt on the car and it rained and ended up with large black patches in the stripes, Took me ages to get off but would piss me off if i need to do that every time i cleaned it!
