5 years? How about nearly 12!

Neil Briggs (now of BAC Mono fame) and I, posing with one of the sign off 1PP prototypes on the top of Stelvio Pass in Italy:

How young do we look!! Happy days! ;-)

I really liked the look of these. Shame that they were never made in 4wd. Would have been a proper icon.
A guy in the village next to mine had one. His reg was bi6 something or other. A bit chav but the car was still iconic. He now runs about in an A3 tdi..... Hmmmm....

My new favourite pic of the car

The coil overs are set to stock height currently but I'm going to adjust it to be slightly lower

And you wonder why no one has any respect for the police these days............ ;-(

( in the old days, you'd get a pull, they'd explain you were being a bit of a tit, you'd say "sorry officer" and be a bit more careful in future. These days they just come across as being very heavy handed and in-flexible)

100k an issue on that Volvo engine? Been a few years so suspect it might be a bit more. Had a T5 on 270k went like stink and not a rattle to be heard. Must be one of the most reliable engines ever, despite even in stock calling on 240hp,
