Nice pics Paul, I've allways hankered for a Mk1 Cortina - I like the low slung red saloon.

I went to the Bromley Pagent of Motoring the other day and there were some great Mk1 cortinas, especially a nice white 2 door GT with a red stripe down the side. I am having the pics developed and will hopefully post them tonight.

Even better is that you can see these Cortinas race and very competitive they are too.

They'll be at Lydden on 27/28 July in the CTCRC Classic races.

Very nice, Paul. You seem, however, to be missing the essential broken light wipers. Have you sorted out some bass yet?

If your talking about the touring, it never came with headlamp wipers. Spending to much money on the house and not the car at the moment so nothing more has been done, but I have seen a Spax suspention kit that will lower it by 50mm , Will probably uprate the front speakers first as there reasonably cheep.

If you look a the pictures from the Brooklands section the blue BMW touring next to mine is a 2.7 Alpina, which has just had the self leveling suspension removed and replaced with updated shocks & springs. Aparently it go's a bit

Yes, Alpinas are so tasteful aren't they?
Lovely wheels, nice bit of 2.7...
Looking at those two alongside each other reminds me just how essentially right is the stance of these cars. Does yours need lowering? I was saving up for some lsd, but imminent marriage appears to have nipped that little fantasy in the bud!

Well after the TVR it just feels too soft and rolls a little in the corners, ok I know its not supposed to be a sports car but I would just like it to handle a little better and while im there I thought it would look good lowered.

I put lowered springs and shocks on my old BMW 316 (1800cc) but the ride hight hardly change, however it stopped it wondering at motorway speeds.it wasnt that quick but it used to murder other cars in the twisty bits.

Hhhmmm marrage and kids or spend money on cars and karting, its a tough one
